About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in building and maintaining our cloud environments, supporting development teams, and ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical systems.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, DevOps-driven environment and has deep knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or ELK
- Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and scalability
- Set up and manage networking and security controls (VPCs, security groups, IAM roles, encryption, WAF, etc.)
- Support containerized workloads using ECS, EKS, or Fargate
- Automate operational tasks and cloud deployments using Bash, Python, or similar scripting
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure robust DevOps practices
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, with a primary focus on AWS
- Deep understanding of core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB
- Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, ECS, or EKS
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform preferred) and version control systems (Git)
- Strong scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and automation tools
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies in cloud environments
Nice to Have
- AWS Certification(s): Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator
- Experience with multi-account AWS organizations and governance
- Familiarity with serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions)
- Exposure to other cloud providers (Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and service mesh (e.g., Istio)
