About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in building and optimizing cloud environments that support application delivery, data platforms, and DevOps workflows.
This role involves close collaboration with developers, DevOps, and security teams to ensure a well-architected cloud foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Azure-native services (VMs, App Services, AKS, Storage, Key Vault, etc.)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Monitor and manage resource utilization, performance, and cost optimization
- Configure networking components (VNETs, NSGs, VPNs, Load Balancers, DNS, ExpressRoute)
- Implement and maintain identity and access controls using Azure AD, RBAC, and security best practices
- Support containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Instances
- Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
- Assist with cloud migrations, modernization projects, and environment troubleshooting
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.)
- Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux administration
- Experience managing ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep deployments
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies in Azure
Nice to Have
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400)
- Experience with AKS, Docker, and container orchestration
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud strategies
- Familiarity with cost management, tagging, and FinOps practices
- Knowledge of Azure Policy, Blueprints, and secure landing zones
